The benefits to exercise are many and they help us increase our quality of life. Everyone knows that exercise is good for us, but how good is it?
Well to start, exercise first helps us to lose weight; it is the one part towards our goal of losing weight, which we cannot do without. Exercise helps us lose weight because it lets our bodies burn more calories every day.
When our bodies start to burn calories we start to lose weight, it is that simple. When we exercise to the point when we break a sweat, then our bodies are letting us know we are burning more calories than regular and thus are losing weight.
There are many other benefits to exercise which are better immune and digestive system, a stronger heart, bigger and stronger lungs, more oxygen to our blood system to fight disease, muscling toning, more intelligence, better sex and much more.
Let's take a moment to analyze some of these.
Better immune and digestive system: When we exercise, we send more oxygen into our bloodstream and to our digestive system. Our digestive system is like a fire inside us, although it is mostly made up of hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes, it acts like a regular fire when there is an abundant amount of oxygen for it to burn.
What happens to fire when it gets more oxygen? The fire burns hotter and better, well the same thing happens to our digestion. When we put more oxygen into our bodies by exercising, we increase our digestion's power and thus we can digest our food even better.
Our immune system acts a little differently when it gets an abundant amount of oxygen in our bloodstream. Our immune system is there to help us fight off diseases, bacteria and parasites. When our immune system gets more oxygen, it uses the oxygen to help supply our white blood cells with more powerful ammunition.
Any kind of parasite, flue or bacteria cannot live in a well-oxygenated environment, and so one of the greatest benefits to exercise is the ability to kill off many bad diseases, bacteria and parasites by providing our bodies with more oxygen.
Exercise helps us build a stronger heart and lungs: When we exercise and break a sweat we are pushing, our bodies to a limit, which helps them, build stronger lungs and heart. Our heart and respiratory muscles are muscles just like any other muscle in our body.
When we exercise we build these muscles as well as many others all over our body, thus we create a better heart and respiratory system.
Some other great benefits to exercise are more intelligence and better sex: More oxygen to our body means more blood that is, pumped to our brain full of oxygen, essential vitamins and minerals, which our brains need to function better. This increases our intelligence and thinking ability.
More oxygen in our blood helps us have better sex by stimulating our sexual organs, increasing our libido and supplying more blood and needed oxygen to those parts of our body. When our bodies have more oxygen in them from exercise they can get aroused faster and more intensely then without exercise.
Exercise is also a mood enhancer, which helps us feel happier and have more self-esteem and confidence.
